My name is Katarina Marie Strimple, and I am a December 2025 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where I earned a degree in Textiles and Apparel with a concentration in design, along with a minor in Business. Over the course of my academic and professional journey, I have developed a strong foundation in both creative and technical aspects of design, with a particular focus on sustainability and innovation.

In addition to my coursework, I gained valuable experience through internships abroad, conducting research at CITEVE in Portugal and MyRefactory in England. I also contributed to sustainable design initiatives as a research assistant in a sustainable materials lab at UT, collaborating with undergraduate and high school students on material development and experimentation.

My professional background includes roles in the service and retail sectors, including positions in e-commerce at H-E-B and as a cashier at Kroger. These experiences strengthened my communication, organization, and customer service skills—qualities I now bring into my design work. I am passionate about thoughtful, forward-thinking design and am eager to contribute to a creative team that values innovation, sustainability, and cultural storytelling.
