Since 2024, I have been conducting research on sustainable textiles with a specific focus on algae-based yarns. My work has involved exploring methods to manipulate the material’s composition in order to enhance its flexibility and durability. This research has not only deepened my understanding of innovative textile development but has also allowed me to contribute to the broader academic community. I was honored to be selected as a mentor for the University of Texas’ High School Research Academy, where I guide and teach high school students, sharing insights from my research and fostering their interest in sustainable design.
